So yesterday was Anne's birthday and we had loads of Fun. First we went to the Temple, which was amazing as always and then we went to eat in the Cafeteria with mom. When we walked around the corner, the seating area was blocked off and we thought that they had closed, but there was a sister there who told us just to go around to the other side and we could still get breakfast. So we got our food and paid for it and then were directed into a room that I'd never been in before. It was the President's dining room. It was the coolest experience to be in there! There was the long table and the cabinet of china dishes at the end and the pictures of all the temple Presidents and Matrons on the wall. Once we sat down and began to eat, the other people left, so we had the whole room to ourselves! It was so cool. And the best part was, that the meeting they were having in the seating area ended five minutes after we started eating. Heavenly Father has amazing timing!
After the temple we hung around at the house with Dad for awhile. Then Mom and I took Anne to lunch at Cafe Rio and let her go shopping at the clothing store next door. We also went to Shop Ko just to pick up a ream of printing paper and ended up buying a set of luggage for Anne's mission as well! Great story it itself but I'll let Anne tell that one. But I can say that you definitely get blessings for going to the temple and preparing to go on missions!
Josh and Marie came down that evening and we ate dinner with them and gave Anne her presents all of which she loved! Then we had dessert and talked till Josh and Marie had to leave, after which Mom, Anne and I stayed up watching College Road Trip. Hilarious! I have to say that I will never think of the man who helped us build a snowman the same way again!!! :D
It's really weird that Anne is 20 now. And I thought it was weird when she turned 18! Life seems to go by way too fast and too slow all at the same time. Well I guess that's what comes of growing up! Too bad Peter Pan didn't come for me when I was 10! :D
Well that's about it. It was a great day and I'm glad my big sister had a very happy birthday!
